The BMW R1200GS Adventure

The world’s biggest monster traillie is a ridiculous concept that on paper at least shouldn’t work at all. It weighs 223kg, the suspension is three inches taller than the standard R1200GS and with a 33-litre tank full of fuel you need to be Britain’s strongest man to lift it off the sidestand. But in reality it’s one of the best mile-eating bikes money can buy and one of the quirkiest, most interesting bikes on the road today. In fact we absolutely love it.

The Adventure has all the goodness of the GS - just more of the same. Take a standard GS, replace the 5 gallon fuel tank with an 8.7 gallon tank for better range, add crash bars for protection, lower the gear ratio in first gear for easier starts offroad, put on a larger windshield for more comfortable touring, increase the suspension travel for better handling offroad, provide optional "bulletproof" aluminum luggage and you have a bike uniquely qualified to go just about anywhere your imagination can take you. The 2010 Adventure comes with the new dual overhead cam motor that provides a broader spread of torque and a throatier, more aggressive exhaust note. Our Adventures are equipped with ABS, heated grips, wire wheels and engine protection bars and are all low mileage and in perfect condition. They are serviced according to BMW's recommendations by an authorized BMW dealer - BMW of Santa Rosa, CA.

All of our motorcycles are also supplied with a Zumo motorcycle specific GPS preloaded with detailed maps of the entire US, a SPOT satellite messenger and tracking device, saddlebags with inner liners, and an electric clothing outlet for your gear.
